Managing and developing you – To understand the role and responsibilities of a first line manager and be able to improve personal performance in leading the team.
Managing and developing the team – To develop an understanding of how to develop the team, the behavioural characteristics of an effective team and motivating individuals.
Workplace communication – To develop an understanding of communication, identify the barriers, provide an explanation of why clear and effective communication is essential in the workplace & identify the key stages in the communication process.
Managing change in the workplace – To develop knowledge and understanding of change, recognising that change is beneficial, identify the barriers and how to manage the effect on the individual.
Managing Conflict – To develop knowledge and understanding of managing conflict and supporting individuals, identify the causes and stages of a conflict situation and use recognised techniques to resolve conflict.
Setting Objectives – To develop an understanding of and be able to set, monitor and review achievement of objectives against success criteria.
Delegates will receive the HAND IN HAND® certificate in First Line Management Level 3.
